He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Cooksey and Mary Sanders Cooksey; and his siblings, Robert, Johnny Cooksey and Charlotte Garrett.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Miles Cooksey; his sons, Thomas Cooksey (Heather) of Marked Tree and Michael Cooksey (Emily) of Trumann; his siblings, Joe Cooksey of Batesville, Walter Cooksey of Rockford, Paul Cooksey of Conway, Alphia Cooksey of Marked Tree, Mary Morgan of Marked Tree, Virginia Breckle of Payneway and Pauline Hooper of Trumann; and his grandson Drake Cooksey of Trumann. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
