She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Thornton and Leo Thornton; her husband Joe Armstrong; her children, Danny Armstrong, Manuel Armstrong and Dodie Armstrong Byrd; and her grandson Vance Armstrong.
She is survived by: her children, Mike Armstrong (Doris) of Marked Tree and Shelia McCorkle of Tyronza; her daughter-in-law Sandy Armstrong of Dumas; and her grandchildren, Donna, Karen, Becky, Rachel, Leslie, Joey, Chris, Shane, Katelyn, Stephanie, Kim and Deanna Jo. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
