He was predeceased by: his parents, John B. Barnett, Sr. and Mary Louise Marvel Barnett; and his siblings, Louise Young, Mae Jeanette Young, Jimmie Brotbeck and John B. Barnett, Jr. (Bill).
He is survived by: his wife Judy Corpier Barnett; his son Kelly Howerton of Marked Tree; his siblings, Bobby Joe Barnett of Jonesboro and Barbara Whitmire of Powhatan, Arkansas.; his nephews, Greg Barnett, Richard Whitmire, Logan Creekmore, Trenton Creekmore and Cainan Hawkins; his close friend Orlando Harper; and his caregiver Baptist Hospital.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Marked Tree.
