It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Townsend of Marion, Arkansas, who passed away on October 6, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Townsend and Sarah Townsend; his former wives, Helen Russell and Marcell Dowdy; and his brother Dan Townsend.
He is survived by: his wife Gwen Townsend of Marion; his daughters, Teresa Dallas of Wynne, Sherry Bowen of Tulsa, Tina Townsend of Jonesboro, Jeanie Baker of Jonesboro and Becky Adams of Memphis; and his sister Gladys Newsom of Thonotosassa. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Roller-Citizens Funeral Home will be following guidelines issued by the Arkansas Department of Health and the CDC regarding COVID-19. Social distancing of at least six feet must be practiced and all funeral attendees must provide and wear their own masks.
