He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joe H. Burch, Sr. and Ree Burch; his wife Pat; his son Kyle Karr (Amber); his sister Melinda Patrick (Charlie); his grandchildren, Maggie and Max; his niece Paige Patrick; and his nephew Adam Patrick.
Jimmy Ogle recognized him, in his farewell speech, for his contribution to Memphis downtown tourism.
