He was predeceased by: his father Jim Holmes; and his brother Jimmy Holmes. He is survived by: his former wife Barbara Griffin; his children, David Holmes Jr. and Jennifer Griffin; his grandson Austin Steele; and his great grandchildren, Kayleigh and Lane.
