She was predeceased by: her parents, B. H. Vowan and Dola Nixon Vowan; her husband T. J. Ashley; her son John Curtis Ashley; and her brothers, Ben, Carl and Robert Vowan.
She is survived by: her daughter Linda Trusty of Tomball; her grandchildren, Lee Trusty (Robyn), Annmarie Varona (Damian), Jake Ashley (Megan) and Jennifer Ashley; and her sister Dolorese Blackwell of Union. She is also survived by five great-granddaughters, two great-grandsons.
