He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret Rose Garison; his brothers, William Hartsfield, Chris Hartsfield and Pat Hartsfield; and his daughter Cindy Diane Whaley.
He is survived by: his children, Leon McLoyd Hartsfield Jr. of West Helena, Paul Lindale Hartsfield (Tammy) of Louisiana, Tina Shattuck and Patricia Hopper (Terry) of Lexa, Arkansas; and his brothers, Douglas Hartsfield, Donald-Ray Hartsfield and Carroll Hartsfield. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
