He was predeceased by: his parents, Omer Shirley and Starlie Coffman Shirley; his wife Dena Shirley; and his sister Naomi Allen. He is survived by: his children, Andrew Russell (Melanie), Debbie Shirley and Shuana Strecker-Metz; his grandchildren, Wesley Shirley (Kathy), Drew Russell, Ethan Russell and Rooks Metz; and his great grandchild Chase Shirley.
