He was predeceased by: his parents, Oney Waggener and Helen Glogovski Waggener; and his grandparents, Andrew, Ursula Glogovski, William and Edna Waggener.

He is survived by: his wife Brenda Caples Waggener; his stepdaughter Lisa Butwil of Rockton, Illinois; and his siblings, Ronald Waggener of Waukegan, Illinois, Sue Dolence of Gurnee and Kathy Brinkman of Grayslake, Illinois. He is also survived by seven nieces and nephews; five great nieces and nephews.
