Alvin R. Reams Obituary
Alvin R. Reams, 86, of Milligan Ridge, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2023 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born on August 9, 1936 to Artie and Laura Williams Reams in Milligan Ridge, Arkansas. He was a longtime member of Milligan Ridge Missionary Baptist Church and was retired from American Greetings.
Survivors include; his wife: Linda Reams of the home; one son: Donnie Reams (Regina); two daughters; Rhonda Pettit (Floyd) and Denise Eatmon (Richard); two step-sons: Kerry Gyngard (Jennie) and Tim Gyngard (Melanie); one sister; Geraldine Gipson; five brothers: Wayne Reams (Mari), Gene Reams, Doug Reams, Wilbur Reams (Bobbie) and Truman Reams; Grandchildren: Artie (Randi), Jason, Adam (Katie), Casey (Jamie), Hannah, and Brayden; great-grandchildren: Sophia, Marshall, Maverick, Emily (Chris), Luke, Everett, great-great-grandchildren: Carter, Caylee, and Addi; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by; his parents: Artie and Laura; one brother: J. D. Reams; three sisters: Virgina, Lillian, and Ester; two step grandsons: Brent and Kolby Gyngard; and one granddaughter: Amanda.
Pallbearers: Bobby Barker, Ricky Jackson, Floyd Winstead, Frank Towery, Ronnie Shortnacy, and Billy Barker. Honorary Pallbearers: Men of Milligan Ridge Missionary Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Milligan Ridge Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Mike Colvin officiating. Interment will follow at Caraway Cemetery under the direction of Faith Funeral Service. The family will receive visitors at the church from 12:00 p.m. until service time.
