He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Henry and Emma Sue Girten Alvey; and his siblings, Charles, Tommy and Evelyn.
He is survived by: his former wife Barbara Plauck (LaForce); his daughters, Angel Allen (Mark) of Crystal Lake, IL, Carol Behrens (William) of Islip, NY, Barb Sherbeyn (David) of Moline, IL and Erin Liming (Bill) of Gridley, IL; his siblings, James Alvey of LeRoy, IL, Jerry Alvey of Apache Junction, AZ, Eddie Alvey of West Plaines, MO, Nancy Peterson and Mary Sue Mixon; and his wife Celia Alvey. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
