Though Elsa Van may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Elsa Van touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sverre Enoksen and Sigrid Enoksen (Kramvik). She is survived by: her husband Elwyn Lee Van Meter, Sr.; her son Kim Durnak of Oslo, Norway; her granddaughter Victoria Durnak of Oslo, Norway; and her siblings, Ragnfrid Nilsson of Gothenburg, Sweden and Sortland. She is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Clary Funeral Home - Thayer (315 S 6th St, Thayer, MO 65791). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at the Camp Cemetery.
