He was predeceased by: his parents, A. J. Cordell and Nellie Walker Cordell. He is survived by: his wife Joette Brashears Cordell; his children, Melanie Howard (Rusty), Steve Cordell (Anita) and Joel Cordell (Kristy); his grandchildren, Adam, Sarah, Andrew, Rebekah, Katie, Allison and Amanda; his great grandchildren, Dillon, Alexis, Addison, Halle, Tanner, Jace, Colter and Claire; and his aunts, Vera Davis and Susie Walker.
