He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Hood and Audrey Harper Hood; and his siblings, Troy Hood and Geraldine Miller. He is survived by: his wife Beth Hood; his son Greg Hood of Columbus, OH; his stepson Don Pence (Olivia) of Malvern; his daughter Tonya Dotson of Columbus, OH; his stepdaughters, Libby Slatton (Jeff) of Hot Springs and Darla Henderson of Marshall, AR; his sister Mary Faulkner of Hot Springs; and his grandchildren, Christopher Hood, Dustin Hudnall, Kaleb Dotson, Tad Dunn, Cody Dunn, Michael Henderson, Scott Thomas, Mitchell Osmond, Don Pence Jr., Maddie Slatton, Anna Kate Slatton and Paisley Slatton. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Big Creek Cemetery Fund.
