She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Grissom and Dorothy Grissom (Webber); and her husband Mahlon Tolleson. She is survived by: her children, Mahlona Bowdon and Richard Tolleson (Natasha); her grandchildren, Alexandra LaMotte, Emma Tolleson and Spencer Tolleson (Macon); her sister Judith Digby; her great grandchildren, Charlotte and Penelope LaMotte; and her friend Brenda Maracle Roberts. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
