He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Loyd Looney Sr. and Jane McMichael Looney; his wife Katie Looney; his sons, John Looney III (Kim) of Albuquerque, NM and Clay Looney (Crystal) of Malvern; his brother Charles D. Looney of Longview, TX; his grandchildren, Brad Combs, Katherine Looney, Rebecca Looney, Preston Looney, Makayla Looney and Carson Looney; and his great grandchildren, Rayleigh and Brynlee.
