He was predeceased by: his parents, Mose Mays and Gertrude Nelson; his wife Cora Mays; his stepson Alvin Marshall; and his siblings, Alonzo Mays Sr., Willie Lee Mays, Jessie Mays, Alberta Rideout, Bessie Sams, Fannie Mays and Millie R. Mays.
He is survived by: his children, Coraphine Chambers of Minneapolis, Ivory J. Collins (Jewelanders) of Little Rock, Victoria Mays of Bearden, Tony Mays (Michelle) of Omaha Neb, Tanya Mays (Charles) of Minneapolis, Tressie Britton of Baton Rouge and Amber Moore of Malvern; his close friend Elaine Moore of Malvern; and his children, Crystal and Brandon of Malvern. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, many devoted friends.
