She was predeceased by: her parents, Mattie B Morehead and Gordy Morehead; her husband Ernest Acie Jones; and her siblings, Nathaniel Powell, Odell Powell, Eward Morehead Sr., Necie Jean Davis, Isaiah Powell Jr., Ellen Jewell Lee, Atton Jewel Powell and Phillip Powell.
She is survived by: her children, Ernest Sr. Jones (Tonya), Anthony Sr. Jones (Dana) of Stephens and Charnita Garland of Texarkana; and her siblings, John Lee Powell Sr., Jimmie Lee Powell Sr., Stanley Wayne Powell Sr., Mattie Mae Powell Waston, Calvin Powell Sr., Carolyn Powell Williams Poe, Marilyn Powell Poole, Edith Cornelius, Adella Powell and Jim Powell. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Marks Funeral Home Inc. (1392 S Jackson, Magnolia, AR 71753). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Antioch Baptist Church.
