She was predeceased by: her husband Thurman Jackson; her son James Z. Brown, Jr. (Xenia); and her sister Navil Anderson. She is survived by: her daughter Joyce Porchia; her sons-in-law, Cedric Porchia of Muskegon, MI, Jackie Monk of Magnolia, AR and Glynda Reed of Magnolia, AR; her sons, Dashawn Evans (Jennifer), Curt Reed and Steve Reed; her niece Casanti Williams; her daughters-in-law, Sharon Moman and Juanita Battle; and her siblings, Mary Montgomery, Charlette Cooper-Jones (L. C.), Diane Rowden, Lloyd Cooper, Jr. (Dorothy) of Magnolia, AR, Harold Cooper (Linda) of Muskegon, MI and Herman Dean Cooper of San Diego, CA. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; five great granddaughters; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
