He was predeceased by: his father Claud Vann; his wife Ruth Ellen Vann (Boswell); his son Kenneth Darrell Vann; and his siblings, Imogene Wiley, Jo Edd Vann, Kenneth Vann, Claude Emmet Vann, Marjorie Vann, Donald Vann and Sonya Lancaster.
He is survived by: his daughter Treesa Vann Stuart (R. G.) of Taylor; his grandsons, Joshua Vann Stuart (Laura) of Cabot and Caleb Stuart (Iris) of Hoover, Alabama; his great grandchildren, Rose Stuart, Josh Cameron, Chloe Stuart and Jaxon Stuart; his brother Larry Quinton Vann (Maureen) of Dallas, Texas; and his nieces and nephews, Micki Herod, Edmund Y. Herod, Vicki Peters, Paula Billings, John Vann, Kenny Wilhoite, Elaine Blackwell and Mike Harkrider.
