He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Bell and Aletha Mae Bell (Thomas); his former wife Audrey Pauline Bell; his daughters, Jackie Bell McWilliams and Teresa Bell Sapelli; his grandson Greg Bell McWilliams; his stepson James Middleton; and his siblings, Johnny Bell, Billy Bell, Maudie Bell Hammock and Margie Bell Welch.

He is survived by: his wife Pattie Sue Bell (Dees) of Magnolia; his siblings, Vernon Bell (Wanda) of Magnolia and Jeannie Bell Hutchison of Bernice, Louisiana; and his grandchildren, Scott McWilliams (Kelli), Jason McWilliams (Lauren) and Anna Middleton. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchildren.
