She was predeceased by: her husband Bennie G. Dowty of Custer, SD.. She is survived by: her son Bennie R. Dowty; her son-in-law Stefan T. Varner; her sisters, Lavonda "Bonnie" Bailes, Joann Payne and Jeanette Tatom; her nieces and nephews, Beverly, Sonia, Ginger, Connie, David, Robert, Chad, Don, Tim and Terry; and her close friend Anne Letterman of Slidell, LA.. She is also survived by three great nephews, three great nieces, a great-great niece.
