He was predeceased by: his parents, James S. Pieratt, Sr. and Kathryn E. Pieratt; the mother of his children Shirley Mae Stuart Pieratt; his brothers, James S. Jr., Earl Dean, George Walter, Herman Albert and Johnny Doyle; and his half-sisters, Gladys Rulands, Alice Ballard, Dorothy Henderson and Willy Jay Pieratt.
He is survived by: his sister Martha Attebery of Honobia, Oklahoma; his children, Kathy Pieratt of LaPine, Oregon, Charles Pieratt of Texarkana and Joe Pieratt (Angela) of Magnolia, Arkansas.; his grandchildren, Carey Garcia (Steven) of Pflugerville, Texas, Michelle Parker of Texarkana, Joshua Cross of Texarkana, Abigail Pieratt of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Adam Pieratt of Magnolia, Arkansas.; and his sister-in-law Jeri (Don Bradetich) of Bend, Oregon.. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends, and his special sister-in-law.
