He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Becton and Christine Becton (Brown); his wife Ordell Becton; his son Jerry Mack Becton; his grandsons, David Becton II and Brett Becton; his brother Cleveland; his sister-in-law Margie Becton; and his daughter-in-law Cindy Becton.

He is survived by: his children, Jane Hill (David) of Magnolia, AR, Rev. Gary Becton (Glenda) of Lumberton, TX, Rev. David Becton (Gloria) of Shreveport, LA and Rev. Jim Becton (Pam) of Houston, TX; his grandchildren, John Gary Becton II (Connie), Shannon Brewer (Kevin), Jerry Becton (Angi), Jonathan Hill (Aimee), Amanda Becton and Scott Farrar; his great grandchildren, Scott (Alyssa), Mitchell, Alex Becton, Annie May Becton-Murphy (Clinton), Phillip Beau Becton, Claire, Collin Brewer, Kaitlyn, Natalie, Corbin Hill, Michael (Deisha), Nathan Muirhead, Jensen Crosswhite, Jake, Jessie and Lily Becton; and his great great grandchildren, Charlie John Becton and David Muirhead.
