He was predeceased by: his siblings, Betty Thullbery and F. C. Buchanan (Bud). He is survived by: his wife Rae Beasley Buchanan of Magnolia; and his nieces and nephews, Chip Thullbery, Rob Thullbery (Janet) of Lake Wales, FL, John Thullbery (Lea) of Winston-Salem, NC, Marion Thullbery and Sally Harbold of Durham, NC.. He is also survived by two great nephews and two great nieces.
