Kailani Labonog wrote a sympathy message

“In loving memory of james philip spencer, please accept our most heartfelt sympathies for your loss. I will miss jim and his witty positivity. He loved his fishing and for every trip he went on, he always had a story worth hearing. I remember when i embarked on one of his many crabbing and cod fishing trips. It was quite the experience. He taught me how to crab cakes and from that day forward every crab cake i made was in thought of jim. He had a great soul and my soul falls into sympathy. .”
