He is survived by: his close friend Dorothy Lewis; his children, Crystal Howell (Rawlin), Kevin Gilbert and DeWayne Vines (Kassondra); his siblings, Repoleon Gilbert (Mildred), Marzel Taylor, Dorothy Porchia, Charles Gilbert, Velma Jamerson (Leonard), Arustine Cooper, Tanya Gilbert and Sherion Maltbia; his goddaughter Sheila Ellis-Green; his grandchildren, Jermaia Gilbert, Kevin Gilbert, Jr., Lynette Ross, Tyderrian Turner, Gavin Raney, Mason Gilbert, Ga'Camron Ellis, Garland, Xavier Howell, Krystal Howell, Rawlin Howell, Jr., Ka'maury Howell, D'Andrea Green, Wynesha Vines and DeAndrea Vines; his great grandchildren, Jayce Mathis, Jordan Gilbert, Phoenix Burroughs, Kenya Gilbert, Kaliyah Turner, Aubree Runyon and Kendall Ivory; and also Debra Steward. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
