She was predeceased by: her parents, J. K. Smith and Gertrude Smith; her husband Richard Samuel; and her siblings, Myrtle Eubanks, James Buddy Smith, Peggy Balentine, Vernell Mishaw and Raydell Smith.
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Martindale (Jim) of Conway and Ann Baker (Frank) of Texarkana, TX; her brother Rupert Smith of Farmers Branch, TX; her grandchildren, J. B. Martindale (Stefanie), Kay Lynn Hill (Jeff) of Conway, Amy Traweek (Richard) of Hallsville, TX and Brian Black (Meredith Hunter) of Fordyce; and her great grandchildren, James Martindale, III, Gage Martindale, Lilly Hill, Jake Hill, Zachary, Jordan and Hudson Traweek. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
