He was predeceased by: his parent Freda; his sister Melba Black (Basil); his sister-in-law Faye Handy; and his significant other Bernard Smart. He is survived by: his spouse Freda Mayfield; his children, Glenda Sue Cook (Bob) and James David Alford (Jan) of Magnolia, AR; his sister-in-law Ann Miller; his grandchildren, Brian Alford (Margo) of Huntsville, AL, Julie Routon (Stephen) of Little Rock, AR and Sarah Hardin (Barlo) of Memphis, TN; and his great grandchildren, James, Ellie, Reed and Will.
