He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Jefferson and Myrtle Nellie Gunnels (Young); his siblings, Larry Gene Gunnels, Gaylord Gunnels and Libby Lewis; and his siblings-in-law, Lana Gunnels, Jane Gunnels and Dewey Dees.
He is survived by: his wife Gail Gunnels of Magnolia; his children, Alisa Ward (Stacey) of Shongaloo, LA and Gaylon Gunnels (Ashley) of Magnolia; his grandchildren, Noah, Micah, Ava, Veda Gunnels of Magnolia, Addison Pickett (Cole) and Anna Ward of Shongaloo, LA; his great grandchildren, Addilyn and Colston Pickett of Walker Creek; his sister Nell Dees of Magnolia; and his brother-in-law Caroll Lewis of Magnolia. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
