He was predeceased by: his wife Jane Smiley Gunnels; his brother Gene Gunnels (Lana); and his siblings-in-law, Dewey Dees and Joan Chiasson. He is survived by: his children, Jeff Gunnels (Joy) of Lafayette, Randy Gunnels (Darlene) of Longview and Connie Barlow of Magnolia; his grandchildren, Kellen Gunnels, Hayley Burns, Lauren Joslin and Taylor Barlow; and his siblings, Glen Gunnels (Gail), Nell Dees of Magnolia, Arkansas and Libby Lewis (Carroll) of Magnolia, Arkansas. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
