He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyrus Clarence and Ruby Mae Wood (Sneed); his son Richard Echols Wood; and his siblings, Laverne Wood, Sam and Ken Wood.
He is survived by: his significant other Carolyn; his children, Wally Wood (Jacque) of Magnolia and Kelli McDaniel (Jack) of Madison; his grandchildren, Walt Wood, Will Wood (Rachel), Mandy Gray (David) of Magnolia, Devon McDaniel of Brooklyn, Meryl McDaniel of Boston and Luke McDaniel of Oxford, Mississippi; his great grandchildren, Brycen Gray and Anna Gray of Magnolia; his sisters, Fleeta Kteily and Aleeta Fry of Heber Springs; and his grandsons, David Gray and Quinn McDaniel. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
