She was predeceased by: her parents, Isaac Newton and Eddie Myrtle Lamkin (Oglesby); her husband Robert M. Carter, Sr.; and her siblings, Bennett Lamkin, Preston "Buck" Lamkin and Frances Mays.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Carter, Jr. (Sherrie) of Troy and Sherri Hunter (Paul) of Camden; her grandsons, Brad Carter of Troy, Wesley Carter (Amber) of Buena Vista, Haley Hunter and Jacob Hunter of Camden; her great grandchildren, Lauren Carter, Natalee Carter and Aniston Carter of Buena Vista; her siblings, Travis "Nubbin" Lamkin (Carolyn) of Troy and Hazel Griffin of Camden; and her brother-in-law Thomas Carter (Wendy) of Camden. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Riddick Cemetery, Arkansas Children's Hospital, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
