She was predeceased by: her father Vances Cogburn; her husband Leonard Rice; her son Dale Leonard Rice; and her siblings, Dennis Cogburn, Buster Jack Darrell Cogburn and Vanna Sue Cogburn.

She is survived by: her children, Vanessa Robinson (Donald), Amanda McKim (Daniel), Violet Marie Crabtree and Bridgett Nicole Dickinson; her sisters, Beverly Holmes, Rose Montgomery and Linda Dixon; and her grandchildren, Skylar Rose Sherlock, Gary Lynn Sherlock, Ashton James Rhodes, Austin Rhodes, Lee Stacks, Hope Michelle Passmore, Catherine Phillips, Jonathan Dickinson, Elizabeth Dickinson, Joann Lunsford, Elizabeth Mahan, Jason Brownfield and Sherry Fulmer. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
