He was predeceased by: his parents, Steven Lias Estell and Rosa Nan Lackie Estell; and his siblings, Bobbie Marie Estell Dixon, Bennie Glen Estell and Dayrel Lyndle Estell.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth E. Causey Estell; his children, Janice Lahr, Melissa Claborn (Andy), Michelle Purifoy (Steve), Bill Estell (Tania) and Brian Estell (Paige); his brother John Richard "Jack" Estell; and his nephew Steve. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
