She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernie Alvin McDonald and Esther McDonald (Felts); her husband Alfred James Skarda; her sons, Scott "Kris" Skarda and Monte Skarda; and her siblings, Shirley Hobbs, Carolyn West and James McDonald.
She is survived by: her sons, Stuart "Kent" Skarda, David "Brad" Skarda, James "Todd" Skarda (Stephanie) and Martin "Blake" Skarda; her grandchildren, David Skarda, Drew Skarda (Rachael Spurlock), Lyndsey Skarda Taylor, Andie K. Skarda Taylor (Caleb), Ethan Skarda (Morgan), Sophie Skarda, Sam Skarda, Krissy Skarda and Slade Harrelson; her great grandchildren, Jaxsyn Taylor, Emerey Taylor, Alayna Taylor, Hagan Skarda and Luca Skarda; and her sister Barbara Marek of Gulf Port, MS. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
