He was predeceased by: his sister Linda Horner (Weldon); his father-in-law Louis Sanchez, Sr.; and his brother-in-law Louis Sanchez, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Sanchez Peel; his children, David Peel (Christina) of Kansas City, MO, Tamara Peel Ritter of Colorado and Melanie Mestas (Larry) of Ketchikan; his mother-in-law Josefa "Mama" Sanchez; and his friend Ronnie Rinkenbaugh (Janet) of Kansas City, MO. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, 11 nieces and nephews; 13 great nieces and nephews; 3 great-great nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Pulaski County Humane Society, UAMS Alzheimer's Department and Arkansas Hospice.
