He is survived by: his fiancé Chiqui Sjovall; his son James Mark Bryant; his stepdaughter Nancy Shirley; his sister Carolyn Johnston; and his grandchildren, Casey Bryant, Lauren Patterson, Sarah Hughes, Jessie Stuckey, Kristin Jeter and Elijah Bryant. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
