She was predeceased by: her parents, Ida Gardner Nix and Otis Nix; her husband Edward Earl Grissom, Sr.; her brothers, Johnny Nix and Robert Nix; and her daughter Cynthia Elaine Grissom.
She is survived by: her son Edward Earl Grissom, Jr. (Eddie); her granddaughters, Sharon Doris Freeman (Larry) and Pamela Kaye Carver (Paul); and her sisters, Carolyn Harcrow and Frances Cross. She is also survived by her grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
