He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis E. Carpenter and Betty Jane Bearden; his siblings, Kenneth Bearden, Troy Carpenter and Joyce Ann Pittman; and his daughter Wendy Carpenter.
He is survived by: his wife Vera Sue Carpenter; his sisters, Emma Haney (Rick) and Martha Jane Sanders; his aunts, Mary Thate and Birtha "Sis" Larkan; and his caregivers, Ellen and Danielle.
