He was loved and cherished by many people including: his brother Gary Schafer; his significant other Joseph Paul Schafer (Joe); his daughter-in-law Tiffany Atkins Schafer (Lonoke); his siblings, Joe Thomas Schafer (Carolyn) and Linda Allen of Sherwood; his stepgrandsons, Carson Devinney and Alexx Devinney; and his stepchildren, Dr. Merideth Tomlinson of Chapel Hill, NC and Jimmy Tomlinson of Lonoke. He was also cherished by several nieces & nephews.
