He was predeceased by: his father Homer Lingo; his wife Ruth; and his brothers, John, Harry "Scooter" and Alfred "Man".

He is survived by: his children, Kent Lingo, Jr. (Charlotte) and Janet Bounds; his brother Douglas Lingo; and his granddaughters, Amanda Shepherd (Joe) and Christina Lingo. He is also survived by 5 great-granddaughters.
