He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Varnell and Naomi Varnell; his son David; and his siblings, Julia, Gerald, Mansel, Verla, Norma, Geneva, Leitha, Fred and Oneta.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Creech Varnell; his son Dennis Varnell (Susanne) of Cushing, OK; his siblings, Hershel Varnell and Beulah McDowell of Mammford, OK.; his grandchildren, April, Derek, Craig, Kayla, Billy and Ronny; and his great grandchildren, Emma, Tim and Amanda.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Boyd Funeral Home (207 E 2nd St, Lonoke, AR 72086). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Brownsville Cemetery (1104 W 3rd St, Lonoke, AR 72086).
