He was predeceased by: his parents, Lela Louise (Leggett) and Grady W. Russell Sr.; his brother Jerry Lee Russell (Carolyn); his grandson Jonathan Cross; and his son Eddie Wayne Cross.
He is survived by: his wife Stella May Russell; his children, Dana Duncan (James), Grady William Russell III, Tammy Darlene Hays, Stevie Cross, Danny Lynn Cross and Dennis Cross; and his siblings, Vivian Hall and Terry Lee Russell.
