He was predeceased by: his parents, Carrie Dodson Phillips and Roosevelt Davis, Sr.; his son Forrest Davis, Jr.; and his siblings, Robert "Billy" Malone and Allie Wilkins.
He is survived by: his children, Tobey Davis Belton (Donna), Edna Davis of Detroit, Michigan, Margarett Mock of Detroit, Michigan and Erica Davis of Detroit, Michigan; his sister Gertha Todd (Curtis); and his niece Lucille Cogshell. He is also survived by five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
