She was predeceased by: her parents, Alex Cooney and Gertrude Cooney (Graham); and her siblings, Andrew, Henderson, Claude, Robert Cooney, Thelma Cannon and Adria Briggs.
She is survived by: her children, Nelson Brown (Janice) and Sandra Jones (Tony); her grandchildren, Jasmin Williams (Dawun), Nelson, Tyrek, Marquaylan, Andrew and Toni; her great grandchildren, Laurin and Kinermon; her granddaughters, Addie Mae Willis, Louella and Annie Cooney; and her brothers, Clarence and Luther Cooney. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
