He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Ray and Erna Mae Haygood Allen; and his sons, Dennis Allen and Charles Spear. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Newton McIlhenny "Beth" Allen of Lockesburg; his children, Will Allen of Gainesville, Texas and Valarie Gilbreath of Gainesville, Texas; his stepson Tom Spear of Georgetown, Texas; and his close friends, Chad and Miki Johnson of Jessieville, Arkansas. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
