She was predeceased by: her parents, Almous Brice and Carrie Evelyn Wells Raley; her husband Leon Merritt, Sr.; her sons, Buford Gideon and Leon Merritt, Jr.; and her siblings, Harvey Raley, Pete Raley, Harold Raley, Richard Raley, Iva Crawford, Minnie Smith, Alice Evans, Jo Brennan and Hazel Cameron.
She is survived by: her daughter Evelyn; her son-in-law Ulyses Sowell of Lockesburg; and her grandchildren, Benita Harrill, Dale Gideon, Leslie Gideon, Michael Hamilton, Christa Pressley, Amber Turney and Korina Russell (Marguerite Roberts). She is also survived by nieces, nephews as well as other family and friends.
Viewing was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home (1015 W Collin Raye Dr, De Queen, AR 71832). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel (1015 W Collin Raye Dr, De Queen, AR 71832).
