He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlos Eugene Sr. and Mary E. Simmons Fant; his wife Billie Faye Fant; and his siblings, Loy Fant, Gene Fant, Hershel Fant, Dean Fant, Athel June Fant Ayers and Geneva Mack.
He is survived by: his son Gary; his daughter-in-law Candi Fant of Lockesburg; his grandsons, Justin Fant (Samantha) of Lockesburg and Tyler Fant of Lockesburg; and his great grandchild Dalleigh Fant.
